11:00 am and still in bed....Teenagers....Geesh!

Who would give for a chance to sleep in again besides me?

I remember the day when given the chance to sleep in.  But that was usuallly because I was up half the night doin' goodness knows what, with goodness knows who at goodness knows where.
For those of you who knew me well then, probably already know the answers to those questions because you were the ones I was with.  And your not tellin anyone what you know or else you would end up dying a slow and painful death (atleast that is what I hear).

So who here says that this boy needs to be woke up in the following manner:
a)  gently coax him out of his deep slumber by sitting next to him on the bed and talking sweetly to him while patting his back and nudging him nicely.
b)  wait until the baby is crying uncontrollably and set her down next to his head and wait until he can't stand no more that he either wakes up to pick her up and gently comfort her (or) else put her outside his door so he can then shut his door and get back into bed.
c)  have all the little kids armed with pots & pans & any other loud noise maker march into his room to perform their rendition of "Reveille".
d)  wait patiently until he wakes up on his own as to not disturb his precious beauty sleep.
e)  dump a bucket full of iced water over his head.

I'm sorta leaning towards the last one...what do you think?

The messages I hear LOUD & clear are "set some personal goals and ...Get Your Blog Goin!".

Boy, how time flies so fast and blogs are neglected around here.  Too many things to do with too little time!

My personal goals ARE:
~to spend more time with my children (which is working out great since my last day of work is tomorrow 7/24/09... just in time to get a few Summertime field trips in before the homeschooling year begins come August.)
~read my scriptures more often (which I believe will come more easily once I get the next goal down)
~be a better steward of my time/talents & money  (actually this may just solve all the struggles I currently face...So, what does this mean for blogging?  Well, that can either mean that I will not be posting much on here (as usual ~ so nothing will change) or that I can manange a time to keep this blog updated...hmmm...we shall see...Facebook may take precidence) :)

Anyhow, for those of you who are actually slightly interested in what we do...I figure that pictures are worth a 1,000 words (not to mention my creative writing ~~stinks~~!).  The only thing is...I have lost my SD card (a little memory chip that fits in cameras & phones to store pics).  So, the pics I have are of the most recent events (a week or so worth) that my memory lacking phone can store.

So enjoy & I will go ransack the house for my SD card...

For those of you who don't already know...Dylan has been back since June.  Things just did not work out like we had planned with him staying with his grandparents in Las Vegas.  Bitter-sweet situation.  But we are happy to have him home & are so appreciative of my dad & carrie (grandma & grandpa) and their great efforts.

Here he is reading to his youngest sister, Denym.  He can be so sweet at times.

These next 2 pics are of the younger 4 kiddos at Chandler Fashion Center's playarea and the last one is of all of them in front of the Dancing Waters fountain show (also at the Chandler Fashion Center)  We have spent every Wednesday there this past Summer for the Harkin's Summer Movie Fun program.
